THE STORY

Welcome to the Sultanate of Rooibossistan, where we meet our hero Ali, and the love of his life, the Princess Barbara (Barbie to her friends).  She's disillusioned with palace life and likes to disguise herself to go walking amongst the peasants in the market place.  Here she meets our reluctant hero and lampseller - Ali.  They immediately fall in love and hatch a plot to run away, extort money from her rich daddy, the Sultan of Rooibossistan, and get married, living happily ever after.

Ah, if only things were as easy as they seem.  Throw into the plot some intrepid Tea Thieves and their Leader, a camel called Camilla, two doff palace guards, a dyslexic Genie and his oh so proper P.A., an evil Royal Vizier and a coniving, sour-faced old second wife of the Sultan, and you have a recipe for hillarious disaster.

Needless to say, all's well that ends well, and our two love birds manage to tie the knot in a grand ceremony.
